Ok here's the experiment with the Alpine type R
The center of the cone was cracked / it was sealed and repaired.
the cone did not crack on the underside because it was damaged in the center.
anyways if the sub is reverse mounted in a sealed enclosure will the repaired crack alter the sound in any way?
well a friend and I tried this and it seemed to have hammered just as good as a brand new one. well there was just a small loss of quality, but it sounded pretty good. (for a type R)
does anyone know if this is possible or do I sound like I'm on crack:nut:
