Rotten Apples

Every family tree has them, the rotten apples of the family. I just found out during my aunts visit tonight that my cousin is in jail again. He was in about.. 10 years ago, just a one month thing for assualt. And now hes back because they caught him stealing (10,000), cocaine possesion and dealing, he assaulted his wife, wrote over 10,000 worth of false cheques. Kind of came as a huge surprise because the last time I heard about him he was running a successful drywalling company. Anyone else got a story about their rotten apples?

Isnt he a "bad apple" as opposed to a "rotten apple"? Or is he just so bad that he is rotten?
