Back from 3 Days of Snowmobiling - 56KWARNING *Pics*

I want to note that some of these pictures were taken by my Brother and fellow sledder.
I'm in the red jacket.

Day 1, Silent Pass, Golden BC.

On the trail back to the trailer, me an a fellow rider were went into a corner too fast and flew into the ditch. All my body panels and windshield flew off and the cable mounts to my hood broke. The other sled smoked a 5" tree in the air. We were ok, and I'm very thankfull neither of our bodies hit anything solid and also that his sled didn't land on me.

The off trail crash was pretty violent. We went into the corner at ~110. It was a left turn and I hit the bank sideways and the sled caught and flipped. I had no idea where the sled was right after that but I just hoped it wouldn't hit me.

That;s my Brother. Not enough gas off the edge. We was ok actually! His sled went downhill for a little bit and was stopped by a tree just before a steep section into a out-of-bounds area w/ large trees at the bottom.

I damaged my hood somewhat, but a new one is $800 so I'm going to leave it for now.

Very nice pictures, reminds me of when I used to go sledding. That crash must have been scary shit, good thing you guys were okay.
And I was just wondering how you were able to take that second pic from day 3? I seems like it’s from a helicopter or something.

My guess would be that he took it from the opposite side of the valley. From the summit of another mountian. Just a guess.

Like DJ Lazy guessed, it was from an opposing mountain. BUT I will be covering a sledding event for a film company for 2 days from their helicopter in 2 weeks. :eek:

The damage is on the new sled. It's weird, I rode my other sled for 3 years and never had a bad crash on it and I do this to my new one on it's 3rd trip.

I really hope I don't do it again. I was lucky. The next day there was a girl killed who hit a tree doing the same thing.
