Heh just decided to write it on, working night shift at work, have some time  Anyway my best affordable one was a 1990 Mazda Miata. that thing handled like a beast. Well not a beast but best handleing. Any post the cars and why heheh. But i dont want to see a list full of 240's :whipped: haha jk do whatever you want:burnout: :burnout:

Best handling - gotta agree with you on the miata. Most fun though in the dirt cheap class (under $5k) was either :

1) a 1986 BMW 325i with an '89 motor, cams, exhaust, chip, etc and an LSD out of a 325ix. It was in great shape, except for the tranny (no third) and was going for $3500....

2) A '71 Datsun 510 with rally suspension, no interior but for a rollcage and sparcos, twin webers, and a cam so lumpy it idled badly at 1700 rpm, but pulled like the bejeezus between 5000 and 7500... Still technically street legal and built for about $4000

well the only RWD cars i've ever owned are my current pathfinder, a w202 c220, and my old s14...as most would suspect the 240sx was the bomb:thumbsup:

I've owned two rwd cars, my rx7 and an 89 camaro iroc with a 350...the rx7 hands down wins a straight line race, and handles circles around the camaro...and it was about the same price...

1976 Buick Skylark with a Rocket 350. Damn that was a fun car. I kinda wish I still had it, but the body was in such bad shape, most of it was held together with my shitty fiberglass body work. But it was fun.

Best i've driven was a late 1980s 325i. They handle pretty good in stock form and they're fun cars too.

88 Firebird for 1400!!! It's fairly slow and doesn't handle all that well, but hey, what do you expect for 1400!

1982 BMW E21 (320i) The thing handled like a track car once I lowered it, and still had a decent ride

This or a Cressida

I bought my Cressida for $1300, and it replaced my EK hatch, I would never go back.

I gotta say Dave, you scare me a bit!

I have one of these, and have owned a Legend (same year as yours!). Its an odd coincidence since they are both very rare cars! I nearly fell out of my chair when you said this. Care to say something about your 450SEL? Mine still runs beautifully, it just drinks gas (9MPG). The original paint still glistens like new.

87 Porsche 944 Turbo. Look hard enough and you can find 'em for about $10,000 used. Pop in a $100 chip, and you have a 300hp machine.
