As in writing off a car so insurance will pay you? If that the case, doesn't insurance sent their own adjuster to do this?

i think he means buying a written off car, fixing it up to code and what not, and then getting the inspection to make it street legal

There's only 2 or 3 places in Calgary that still do it. The best price I've found is at Barlow Auto Body. Last I checked it was about $300.
