Nothing on citybeat.. weird. There was this though:

what an idiot

At 8:49 PM Calgary EMS responded to a residence on Bowwood DR
NW. A 63-year-old male with a pre-existing respiratory
condition was on home oxygen when he lit a cigarette. A flash
fire resulted and the man suffered second and third-degree
burns to his face and head. When he called for help he was
severely short of breath, and when paramedics arrived at the
scene 4 minutes later he was unconscious and barely
breathing. Paramedics worked on him for 45 minutes,
administering all advanced life support measures but they
were unable to resuscitate the man. He was pronounced dead at
the scene. It is not evident at this time if the man passed
away as a result of his injuries, his medical condition, or a
combination of both.

Unfortunately, paramedics respond to similar emergencies a
few times every year, where a patient on home oxygen is
burned when they attempt to light a cigarette. Calgary EMS
reminds the public that oxygen devices should never be near
open flame or any source of ignition.
