I am setting up my new pc today and I am having trouble getting one of monitors to work.

I have an Asus Geforce4 64mb video card (can run a dual monitor setup using this card)

One of my monitors works perfectly but the other one is just black. Windows (XP Pro) recognizes the monitor and everything but the screen is just black.

Any body have any idea of what is wrong?

Alright I assume you've checked the connection.... :dunno:

have you looked at the monitor settings? right click on the background and choose properties, and then settings, then advanced.. you should see a device selection tab in there to sort it out.. should be some sort of option to select it in there.

Make sure you set the monitor res to a dual monitor standard, like 1600x800 or 2048x768. If it's on 800x600 or 1024x768, it won't span across monitors.

There could also be an option to enable dual monitor support.

*not too sure, I only have experience with Matrox and Ati dual cards...
