Very little shaft play it's off of a 92 mx-6 turbo, spins freely there was no oil in the intake besides the little from the EGR so the seals are still good. How did you blow your turbo, was it the seals? to high of oil pressure? What turbo was it?

well when I had my header built and the shop that was diong the work I guess befor they took the car for a test drive they deciced to turn up the boost pressure. I drove the car home then for about a half hour after that then it just stopped boosting. Well then I started messing around with it and noticed that on my turbo smart boost regulator that it was on high boost so it must of over spun the turbo and baked the bearings....... How much for the ihi vj 14

Why would they crank the boost, if all they did was make you a manifold?? That doesn't make any sense... Vj11 is the turbo you want not the vj14, the 14 is smaller then the 11 <oddly enough> and the 16 is a little bigger then the 11. I'll sell the turbo for $100. It's currently in my tool box at work so I would need a day's notice before I grab it.

100 buks I thought the vj 11 was smaller however if its bigger I'll take it, also are the inlets and outlest the same ???? now with the boost, I figure that when they turned up the fuel pressure they must have turned up the boost too as the car was running and still is running a bit rich, so they must have turned up the boost to compinsate for this...I don't know now lets talk turbo... do you have any pics of the vj 11 also play in the shaft also as above are the inlets and outlets the same and do you know how much this thing will flow.(hope no body else thinks the wrong thing cause they'll think were fags talking about all that shaft play, ha ha, not that there's anything wrong with that...) any how I'll write later....

I don't have a flow map off hand I'm sure one could be found online after a bit of searching, I've seen em before. Anyways the vj11 is good for around 220 HP, I've heard of people running 20 pounds on em thats about the top of thier efficiency.
