LOL...
So my Buddy Derek is in Las Vegas for the Pacific Street Car shootout in the Extreme Street class in his 1990 Mustang.
His first run was an astonishing 12.4 at at 177mph!!
The car loaded up on fuel after the burnout (160 pound injectors), and would not clear out, so it just caughed and sputterd for the first 100 feet untill it cleared itself out, then ran the 177 (139mph in the eigth mile!!)
This is a new combo, and he is hoping for a 7 second pass at over 180 mph.... fingers crossed ;)
Car is a 347 stroker, 101mm turbo, on 325/50/15 MT Street Radial tires.
I cannot BELIEVE he made it downto Vegas. You would not believe the work that he put into the car in the last 2 weeks. New rear suspension with coil overs, wheelie bars and narrowed diff, replaced front suspension, new fender, door and quarter panel, new glass, new motor (well freshend with new cam), and tuning. AND he has a full time job.
Here is the car one week ago, then on the dyno the night before he left for vegas, and here is a dyno video the morning that he left for vegas Video (http://members.shaw.ca/sophisticated/derekdyno.avi)
Way to go Buddy.... NOW lets cross our fingers for a 7 and 180mph!!.
