I just thought I'd warn you GM guys out there.
I have had 3 trucks come into my shop this week with the same problem-no reverse and no fourth(4l60e trans). Two of these guys had quotes of $2500 to $3000 for new trannies.
Don't get sucked into this by your local garage.
The problem is the reaction sun shell-the center breaks out of it. The parts are worth about $85, and 8 hours labour. That works out to a bill of $500 to $600.
Just trying to save you guys a couple thousand bucks.
