yeah, it's pretty obvious that it is a stang. The escort hatch was not wide, nor did it have a rear trunk lid large enough for a spoiler of that size. It also wasn't so long.

An acquintance of mine had a really weird version of the escort that 'came out'. It had the mustang body but an escort engine, and it was called an escort something edition and it had escort badging. He might of been full of shit but when he popped the hood it wasn't a 5.0 or a mustang engine for that matter (I've seen the 80's LX engines before this was kinda different). Can anyone clarify this, or did he buy a weird ass custom car?
