not really, because I suck at golf- I prefer driving the cart around @ Hamptons and talking on the phone

but thinking of being more serious about golf this summer and practice the basics..

Welp almost time to get back to work at good ol' Glen Eagles. We say it every year, but a beyond tournament somewhere this year, i've added a little muscle in the off season and i'm ready to get out there and let some fly. I want to get that new black Nike ball.

I cant wait, got in a 20 minute talk with this older chap that works at the Shell store near my place about golf and whatnot the other day.

What an awesome guy, retired lives nearby, just works a day or 2 a week to pass the time, and golfs the whole summer.

I need new clubs tho, not that their bad, but I swing too fast for them now.

I was asking the rep about those and he said they are only going to be available for a very short time. They will come in a pack of 2 when you buy a dozen Nike One. He also said that Nike is trying to get a Gold ball USGA approved for Tiger.

What are your guy's Handicap? I haven't played a full 18 in about 6 years seeing as how I lose all my balls before I reach the back 9 usually :) My handicap is 40 (Max I think?) but it should be about 120 :D

Yeah I've been trying to get ahold of the head pro to get my sponsered spot back. I want to try the Canadian Tour in a couple years when I'm done college before I start teaching. I'll have to get a bit better mind game and better tournament experience first.

Do you know if RamJay (Jamie) is gonna be at the Hamptons this year?

I heard he might be working in the ProShop this year at the Hamptons. I'm not too sure though, haven't seen him since last year. I know he is coming back, but not sure if its Backshop or Proshop.

Got mine down to 8 last year. With some more committment this year and a better practice routine I'm aiming for around a 6.

Yeah I could probably set up a group booking or something, if we can get a date/down payment arranged I can enter it into the computer on my first day back to ensure we get a prime spot during the season.

Here's my set......20 year old Ping Beryllium Copper "Eye 2" irons, and a sweet Ping Zing "Blonde" fairway wood.

I'm tempted every year to sell these and get some new sticks....but I prefer the old school look.

DUBBED

^^^ you could get like $600 US for those clubs. I wouldn't sell those though, quite possibly one of the best sets of irons ever made.

They don't set up well for me but I can appreciate them. :D

I also have a bit of a problem with the way they set up. They have a bit too much offset for my liking. However, they are very forgiving.

Do you have any old drivers that you are looking to sell?? I'm currently using a 225cc driver, and would like to try something in the mid 300cc size.

i used to like golfing alot. a combination of sucking ass at it and the high costs of playing, forced me into early retirement.

Just gonna be doing weekends this year... As much as I would like to quit my current job and work fulltime in Maintenance, I would be screwed when winter comes, as I would be scrambling to find another job that can pay the bills..

So just weekends, for the free golf, and well little extra pocket coin. :)

For anyone who wants to go out for fun and not so damn competitive as DUBBED and who isnt a pro as him either :P I've been looking into some central places in Alberta I play at if people from Edmonton want to come down aswell, and its not expensive either so we dont all go backrupt. Check out the Events section if interested.
