In a 1995 non turbo talon, the engine is a 420a.... ?

Is this the same motor as in the DOHC neon? I checked around the net, and they seem to share some parts, and the neon engine is also called a 420a, but then I saw a picture of the Hahn racecraft Neon, and the intake is in the "front", and the exhasut manifold is in the back (firewall side), where as the one in my brothers 95 Talon, it is reversed. Huh??

Somone wanna explain this to me?

Also, how big are the injectors, and has anyone cracked the computer and released chip software for it?

LOL, nothing like spending christmas day trying to figure out go fast goodies for someone elses car ;)

ahhh so is that like all Mitsu's? cause their symbol is the diamonds..

It's just the cars produced between 1990 and 1998 in the Chrysler/Mitsu Illinios (sp?) plant.

A slow non-turbo buddy tells me there's basically 2 versions of the 420a, a chrysler one and a mitsubishi one. Only difference is the reversed manifolds as you mentioned (so I guess the head would be different as well). I don't know many companies making parts for the non-turbo cars, I guess neon parts would be your best bet but there may be some fitment issues since the non-turbos got the attractive DSM bodystyle and not the neon looks :D
Hahn Racecraft and Star Performance (if they're still around) are the only places that come to mind.

Also, the injectors in a 2nd gen non-turbo DSM (2G NT) are a measly 235cc. :tongue:

wow you definately just bumped an almost 2 year old thread.......
and since u live in sask. and most of the poeple on this forum are from calgary, odds are good you wont get much help. just try local wreckers i guess.

man you are bumping OLD DSM threads all over beyond...you can also use the head from an Avenger as well...it just does not have to be from an T/E
