I got some friends coming down from Vancouver for the first time to Calgary and were thinking about taking them out to eat somewhere any ideas? something different ?

I wouldnt suggest the tower...menu and atmosphere is IDENTICAL to the Vancouver Tower

Steak! any of the following:

Mother Tuckers, Ceasers, or Cannery Row

For some Alberta beef (much better than BC beef)

cannery row is awsome from what i hear.

mongolie grill, king and I thai are both really wicked from my personal experience. you mite also want to hit up tandoori hut if ur down with the the indian food.

Is there a place in Bragg Creek that serves buffalo burgers? That's something they won't find in Vancouver.

Any local restraunt that specializes in Alberta beef of some sort. Some good ones have already been mentioned but I'll add a couple more.

Smuggler's

Just don't let them order seafood or anything like that. I did that in Vancouver a few years ago. Our friends took us to a nice seafood restraunt and I ordered a steak! Biggest mistake ever..................yuck!

I grew up in Vancouver and to be honest the only thing that Calgary has to offer that is different is BEEF.

Carvers, Caesars, Mother Tuckers...

One place that wasn't mentioned was Salt Lik

That place is AMAZING for steaks. Take them there if you're gonna do steaks.

Yup, A little cafe right beside the ice cream shop. Had one this weekend and it was delicous.

Buffalo burgers? Why not a stuffed Buffalo tenderloin from the Verve.
