insurance on subaru

Im seriously thinking about buying a subaru WRX, can any of you give me an idea of the going rate for insurance for the wrx. Im always on naisoc and rs25.com and I have heard that the insurance is just crazy, mostly due to theft.
If you could give me an idea on an STI as well that would be great.

BTW i am 19 :( , which may be a problem. Anyways thanks for the input

best thing to do is just call and get an estimate, woulda been faster than posting on the forum :)

expect it to be about $7500, and there isnt much difference in cost between the WRX and the STI (i had both)

i was paying like $7000/year with a $5000 deductible, after shopping around. nothing on my record either, not even a ticket. AMA wanted like 10k a year! :eek:

man STi insurance is off the wall every place i call gives me an average of 730-750 a month for car insurance.
This car has a RVG rating (what they use to calculate premuims) of a 35 while a minival has a RVG rating of only10. its a bit entertaining though, when shopping for insurance on this car, becuase every person i call gives me a Oh my god, or a oh dear when the premiums come up on the screen, haha

If you work with a company, usually there's a deal you can get from them. That's what I did with Meloche. Otherwise, it's about $1400

its just about impossible to get on with them unless a) over 25 and b) through a company

a 19 year old isnt going to be paying anything remotely close to $1400 in their wildest dreams :)

I pay ~4500 a yr for mine, the only good thing about my insurace company they put down a 4dr sedean for type of vehicle rather than sports compact or anything of that sort.
