Hey, I've been listening to way too much hip hop and rap the last couple years so I want you guys to list classic songs from 60's all the way up til' about '99 or so, it can be anything from weezer to elvis.

DO NOT add anything that is hip hop or rap, and not much r & b because I've probably heard it.

Knock yourselves out.

There's too many to choose from, so I'll just pick one from each decade.

60s - "Purple Haze" - Jimi Hendrix
70s - "Sweet Emotion" - Aerosmith
80s - "Panama" - Van Halen
90s - "Alive" - Pearl Jam

N.E.R.D is cool, lapdance was a sweet song, but it's the beats that make them good, just like clipse, the worlds worst lyricists. I'm listening to N.E.R.D right now actually.

But sure, if you wanna burn me a copy I'd happily take one. I'll check out all these songs when I have some time.

Can someone list me some stuff that's like alternative rock or something from the mid 90's as well, I used to listen to that stuff all the time but now I forget all the names of the bands, like our lady peace and stuff like that.

At the risk of revealing how old I am....

One Night in Bangcock was by Murray Head. I think Falco was best known for "Der Kommisar" (sp?) and "Rock Me Amadeus". (I almost said Putting on the Ritz, but that was Taco.) And just to show that my knowledge of 80s alt-pop knows no bounds.... Falco died a couple of years ago when he rolled his SUV.

Personally, my fave 80's song is Perfect Kiss by New Order.

And since when is Kiss "alt rock"?

N.E.R.D rules and anything they touch turns to gold....

Clipse, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and way more.... All their hit songs recently have been produced by Neptunes (AKA N.E.R.D).

Pharrell is a genious!

Timbaland rules!

I've been trying to find his CD's (Welcome to Our World and Indecent Proposals) that he did with Magoo, but I am not having any luck.

He is in Cry me a River, he is a :bigpimp:.

Timberlake is best friends in real life with Pharrell (N.E.R.D/Neptunes).

Hakkola, do u have Styles feat Jadakiss, etc... - Good Times Remix without the DJ on the background on mp3 format?

I'm in the same boat as you. Now I find myself listening to Nirvana, The Beatles, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, and Limp Bizkit.

the N.E.R.D. album is pretty good, I think I played it like 100 times already since I got it.

No I don't think think I do, though I might, I have so much hip hop and rap on my computer I'm not even sure anymore. A lot of my mp3's got messed up somehow though.
