Picked up a spare valve cover so i figured why the hell not lol.


It was pretty new and the base paint was still mint so i cleaned, cleaned and then cleaned it some more. Scuffed it up with a wire brush pad and sprayed away :thumbsup: got a small drip on the front but it will be covered up by the engine cover so its all good :thumbsup:

BTW - i used that high temp engine paint you can get at crappy tire :thumbsup:

not the "true" color i guess... i upped the contrast in photoshop a little bit.

sweet! did u use clear coat? i did a Yashio Factory style valve cover awhile back too

nope, no clear coat.... from what i've read its not really required;

Yeah if you used clear coat it'd have to be heat resistant like the paint or it will turn yellow or brown. that = teh barf.

what did you do to keep the honda motor co. sign silver! did you spray it and then use paint thinner to get the paint off the letters?

i just sanded them down after it was dry.... i taped the oil cap hole off
