Will be scheduled on a Monday August 5th, 2002 (Alberta Heritage Day). $200 per car. This is the official entry list. It will be a closed track day, each entrant can bring up to 2 guests.

You will need :

A car in good working condition
A helmet (Snell 95 or higher)
Some mad skillz if you wanna pass Kenny =)

Last event was a hell of a lot of fun. Instructors are really helpful for both beginners and advanced drivers. Many people were out their first time, and ran really quick by the end of the day, so don't be intimidated!

you do not need a fast car for your first time. It is better to have a slow car and learn with that first.

I think that you would rather make a mistake going slow in the DX vs slamming the wall in B18c's GSR. It is alot easier to learn how to drive on the track with a slow car then it is a fast one. IT IS TOTALLY differnet the driving on the street.

I had so much fun in my stock RSX and those tires on that car are junk compared to what most of you are running on your aftermarket rimmed cars!

Slower car is definately better when you're learning. I took Kenny's SLK 32 out on the track and went a bit off course into a grassy area =). I don't even know if I'm much faster in Kenny's car compared to mine, I was really sloppy and inconsistent dealing with the extra power.

OK guys, for everyone that's confirmed, please let me know what car you'll be bringing. Fuji would like that information. I've put up as much as I can remember. I'll contact everyone I know for deposits.

then let more people in and drop the cost! You can still get alot of running in with 30 cars! or is this an insurance thing?

It is an insurance thing. I wanted to have more but we need 36 to increase the numbers and keep it at $200 per person. right now we have the cheapest insurance possible, which restricts the number of people we can have.

i agree that 36 may be too many people. 24 sounds good to me. It's a lot safer with less people on the track. last time 2 cars spun out nest to each other in the 3rd corner and i almost T-boned one of them... I think if there were more cars on there would have been problems

That was an isolated incident... those 2 guys were racing each other into the corners, which is not allowed. Didn't they get booted out before the day ended?

If everyone takes it easy, has fun and relaxes, it will be well worth the effort an money put in. Everyone whois going should come in with a full tank of gas and 38-40psi of tire pressure (reduces cornering knob tread wear):burnout:
