Got a couple of friends over from Edmonton, looking to take them out to eat tonight, but they didn't want anything asian, and no steaks, and no greek food. Any other ideas?
Thanks very much!

Try the Verve on the corner of Memorial and 10st SW. Its a 'World Cousine" menu. Very good food!

Try something like Joey Tomato's, or Cactus club, food is always awesome at both.

you're kidding right?..haha

Depending how much you want to spend..

If you want something a bit nicer, i'd say Muse..or La Chaumiere.

or Broken Plate??...just on my mind because a friend was talking about it.

No I'm not kidding... I agree with you, broken plate is an awesome restaurant, but he said no greek food, and that is a fair bit more expensive then the places I mentioned.

He already said "no greek food".

My vote is for The Verve in Kensington. GREAT restaurant and rumous are that they are in the process of buying La Caille on the Bow to open another Verve restaurant.

Thanks for the input everyone! Ended up at Milestone on Centre..I had prime rib there and I thought it was really good, but the food my friends had they didn't like..the salmon salad there had very dry salmon, and another dish involving stir fry noodles was practically smothered in oil. The service was great however! I'd go back for the prime rib but not too sure about anything else.
