I stumbled upon this guys ebay auction and i have to say this is the most incrediable story i have ever heard.

i saw that yesterday through a link that was here, it is really amazing, but although it has much value to him, it is just a shift nob to everyone else...

He forgot to mention that he jumped out before the collision, and it took them 30 minutes to figure out he wasn't in there!

Shocking that he could survive that!!!

OMG, I am so getting that.

I could brag to my friends that I have the luckiest shifter knob ever!!!! OMG OMG.

On a serious note, I would have to say the subie almost killed him. It can swing either way. Sure he's alive, but look at that damage. What saved him was pure luck.... not the car.
