That car makes me angry...Porsche is starting to get greedy now that they have huge sales from the Cayenne

That looks like Mercedes CLS's ugly little brother that shoudln't be in public.

The CLS is actually pretty nice in person..but that porsche.......blah :(

The front view is much more pleasing...
The back could use a bit of resculpting, but on the whole, i think it looks good.

Porsche and Cayenne shouldn't be in the same sentence!! The Cayenne is so ugly!!

Actually the idea of a 4-door Porsche has been around for a long time. For those of you who might have read car magazines in the early 90's (sometime around/after the launch of the 964) there was mention of a 928 successor that might have a V8 with 4 doors; it was rumoured to be named 989. That car never made it. I guess now is the time for a revival.

IMHO, Porsche have already bastardized their image with the Cayenne and people don't seem to mind or care. Launching a 4 door sport sedan makes business sense, but for purists, this car is yet another dilution of the marque. Then again, purists will probably say that Porsches should only be powered by air-cooled horizontally-opposed engines, so even the 996 and 997 are already bastardized with their water cooling.

If the photo illustration is anything to go by, the car doesn't look so bad. The Maserati Quattroporte, as awesome a car as it is, looks even more ungainly from some angles than this proposed Porsche.

As much as you guys love to hate on this new car, it makes pure business sense. In the end, porsche marketing does not care about its purist image, instead focusing on what really matters and that is staying afloat at the end of each year.

This car will undoubtedly be a popular choice for people seeking the performance of a 2 door coupe while maintaining the practicality of a 4 door. Those who can afford to purchase a Porsche are being swept up by other manufacturers who offer 4 door performance sedans that Porsche wants to cash in on.

At the end of the day, its still a Porsche. It will still catch its fair share of attention and it will probably be successful. I think it looks great, even if it is a 4 door!

the body seems too long for its styling...
even it looks similar to the CLS...it appears to be longer then the CLS
