I use this to remind me:
"when the needle is in the red, go ahead"
Actually I just made that up but you get the idea, it's a honda shift when the engine is done making power.

u still running the d16a6 in there?
i shift mine around 6k rpm to get peak power. u can go up to 7100 but u'd just be wasting gas mostly.

go to the point where u feel u are pushing the hardest and try a few different #s, eventually u will find the sweet spot!
In the Crx, I wouldn't shift later than 6500... shifting at 6500 puts you in a good rpm range in the next gear :)

shift when it feels like its the right time. if you have a tach, watch it, shift when it feels right, and stick with it... if you dont have a tach and your driving a standard, watch the spedo, your "econ" gauge ( if you have one, not sure if that was a lada only feature ) and listen to your engine.
:dunno:
thats about all i can think of

There should be a point just before redline when you can feel that the car isn't pulling anymore, shift there

whoops, misread your question. i thought you meant that you overreved during a shift.
anyways...for my car, it reds at 7500...
first gear i usually take it to about 3500-4000 rpm and the other gears about 3000-3500 when i'm doing daily driving.

I normally shift at 11,000rpm, but I shift at 9,000rpm when I'm trying to withhold the true potential of my car from my opponent.
