Hey all,

I have a high milage 1983 BMW 533i (E28) up for grabs. Close to $1500 invested just in new parts/labour (w/ receipts) before the 5 speed tranny went in it. $100 worth of lighted switches were installed *just* before the tranny went and the car is 100% rust FREE! I just imported it before the tranny went. Drove it up here from Las Vegas, NV. The 1500 mile trip went well, but the rear left trailing arm appears bent as the rear left wheel went from 30-40% tread to 0% by the time we got back. The rear right wheel also had the inside edge worn more so than the outside edge.

A spare set of front brake pads come with the car as the front's were at 30% before our return trip to Canada.

As well, I have a set of BMW E31 (8 series) front calipers for sale. These are huge single pistons and the most powerful calipers BMW made at that time.

$600obo for the car and $400obo on the calipers. Taking a large loss on both! Will consider trades.

If you're not a back yard mechanic, don't think about it. Left rear trailing arm needs to be replaced. Transmission is gone and some smaller electric components (most of which I have) need immediate attention. At least one tire will have to be replaced in the next 1000km and they are the TRX size (between 15-16").

The car needs the battery charged, but yes it is in running order last I checked. The extra parts it comes with are front brake pads, lighted and stock switches, a few other interior components and a few electricals.

well I still have all summer to hunt down a car

ill have to pass on this one for now, but it doesnt sound THAT bad.
those TRX's are worthless yet expensive, cheaper to just buy a new set of rims for the car.

ill pass this add along to a friend though
