Motorola has announced the CDMA Razr for the Asian CDMA market. The phones model number will be MS550 it will include a one megapixel camera, although they claim this model will be a little thicker in order to fit all the nessicary CDMA parts into it. Motorola also claims they are working on a CDMA razr for the american market althought it won’t be available until early 2006.

the motorola V3 is over-rated,.......it is not even comparable to panasonic x800, which has the room for expandable storage space (mini-SD) and it is thinner in comparison

I've never seen one in real life... Just thought I'd post it since everyone always asks if it works on Telus :nut:

matter of fact, Canadian market isn't big enough in comparison to other area, therefore we got the out of style products (such as Kyocera Blade and motorola v400).....

X800: 100 x 48 x 17 mm
V3: 98mm x 53mm x 14mm

X800 isn't even out yet, you can't compare a 6 month old phone to something that is new...plus it's GSM900. Asia based phones < GSM800/850 in North America. You just can't compare how gayed up Canada is with the 2G service to the 3G video phones in Asia or even the Edge phones in the States.

I agree with that on the most. Canada gets the "crappy phones" because they are made for our network market. I'm sure we could have better phones but we have no network to support it, hence the best phones we have here are only average compared to elsewhere. etc etc this could go on forever...

Fido network uses 1900, so technically if the cellphone has such a frequency, they can be used here....Personally,aside from the warranty/quality issues, I think I would actually purchase the phone oversea and use it in canada, rather than waiting for the provider to bring the phone here.

Well yea, I think most people do that if you want a decent phone without waiting to pay full price or sign up for some ridiculous contract anyways :D
