I thinking about catching a movie at the Uptown with my fiance this weekend and am looking for somewhere unique to go out for dinner afterwards.

The Chicago Chophouse is over rated and places like Earls, Fuel, The Met etc are pretty played out and boring.

Anyone have any suggestions? Anywhere between City Hall and the Uptown would be great.

If you want a lively place, The Conga Room is pretty unique. The food is good since you can just order a bunch of Tapas and share. A little too lively for me though with the live music and dancing, but if that's your thing then you should check it out. Stephen Ave. between 1st St S.W. and Center.

Murietta's, actually. Not bad, but expensive. How about Divino's, a little farther, just as expensive. Personally, if it's afterwards, I think you should get in your car and get a better deal elsewhere.

I'm not looking for a good deal. Just a nice restaurant with good food within walking distance of the theatre.

Its on 811 1st st SW, the resturant is quite small, as is the menu, but it was a nice place, and i really enjoyed it actually.
Something different, give it a shot.
