so im selling my truck now that the skyline is road bound. and il need a beater in case my baby needs some loving from a greasy shop dude. i was thinkin about pickin up a micra or a maxima and droppin a ca18 in it. dont want big power just fun and good on gas. ne 1 seen it done ? im sure it has been. just curious for some info

Instead of swapping a CA18DET into a micra, you should import a Nissan March Super Turbo (same as a micra and CHEAP)!!! I think they have 110HP, turbocharged and supercharged and 6.2L / 100KM!

The one we imported was only $4000-4500 IIRC fully imported. That Super Turbo engine was stuffed in there, it even has AC. I think the CA18DET conversion could very well be impossible given the space under the hood of that car.

You also said Maxima, you can get an AWD Bluebird SSS with CA or SR, I think they were the first Nissan to come out with the SR20DET. It's the same chassis as Maxima.

i dont really care about sr20. im looking for for a ca18 powered car. how much would i be lookin at to get one of them?

Same price as Micra, around $4500-5000 if you can find one, they're pretty uncommon nowadays. There are two generations of Bluebird SSS that came with the CA18DET, the U11 (our 85-88 Maxima) and the U12 (our 90+ Stanza).

IMO go with the the awd bluebird sss....if its a beater, awd for winter is always a good thing i think.

ya thats what im thinking. still gonna be good on gas which is a plus and awd pwns the snow. ill look into it more. christian do u guys have any available that i can take a look at in broker stock or sumthing?
