hotels around Universal Studios's L.A

Has anyone been to Universal studio's L.A?? whats a close hotel to stay at ? Places to eat? things to see? any other tips would be appericated.. thanks.

Universal is better then disney land!! but overall those theme parks are a huge waste of time and money!

Magic mountain is the best! if you love rollercoasters. I stayed at the Wyndham hotel in Commerce. Its about a 10 min drive to hollywood, and Universal Studios.

But Magic is out in the desert area.. lol.. its about a 45 min drive.

Disneyland is oooook. I went there for my first day of school when I used to live in cali haha
