Im considering buying a new board. Right now Im riding an older Burton Air, its probably a 96 or 97 model. What boards does everyone recommend? And would I really benefit from a newer model or how would the one I have compare?

I just got myself a Sims Fader this year, and I love it... It's my second sims board, and definately the best board I have owned so far...

It looks pretty good too... :poosie:

I really depends on what type of rider you are... Some like a frim and hard board while others prefer a more flexy board. It also depends on your ride style... Do you like to do tricks? or is it just to get down a mountian with lots of powder... I know for me... since I am relatively light 170 lbs, I prefer a really light board but given a light board, I still like something that is really stiff that won't allow tiny bumps and the like to bully me around. Therefore after trying a few out, I went for the Ride Concept.. It turned out to be prefect for me...

I don't know ... birthday present... i think it was near 5 bills though.

And IMO, if you don't ride park all the time forum boards suck... just my opinion though, i find them terrible boards for riding.

they companies sometimes have demo's at the slopes... but not that often for good snowboards... sounds like a pretty good buy, i have some friends with options and they really like them
