The BEST cupcakes are to be found at Crave. Its on Kensington Road beside the Timothy Coffee place. Very cute bakery.

Cupcakes are frosted with a variety of different flavored icing. At $2.50/cupcake, its worth it, but only good to have to satisfy your sweet tooth once in a while (as in you can feel these babies go straight for your ass!!)

People are very nice who work there. You'll have to go early b/c I've heard that they can sell-out by 2PM!

"Lovely Bunch of Coconuts" is my favorite one.

They are all packaged up nicely and make a good lil' treat for a loved one as well! ;)

Here are some shots of Crave cupcakes that my finance did for school. They are DAMN good too. Hopefully she shoots some more (so that I can eat them for her).

Wholy fuckin hell, those cupcakes are amazing. I was going around Kensington today looking for some Calculus textbooks when I saw this place and remembered this thread.

I love their whole decor thing, its very simple and classic. Their cupcakes are freakin expensive, Mini $1.50, a Regular $2.50, but wow are they worth it. I got the Cocconut one, it was orgasmic.

Gonna be hittin up that place again. Mint

I don't like coconut... I got 9 cupcakes to try most of them (except peanut butter which sounded disgusting)... when I went in there were no tags to say which was which I took a bite outta almost all of them and I was unimpressed w/ the coconut one.. ha ha ha, I like the chocolate/chocolate one. :)

I liked the coconut one because it was less sweet & was great with a glass of milk! I had some of the chocolate/chocolate and that was way too sweet for me. But tasty! I stole a bite from my mom's strawberry one, that was good too, still a little on the sweet side.

Hehe last night I had a coconut one and then I see this thread!

Peppie Pattie is my fave, but they're ALWAYS out by 2pm. Coconut & Nutty About Chocolate are next choices.

They're starting to get a lot of press, when I used to go months ago there'd be 1 or 2 people in, now it seems like I always have to wait behind someone and hope they don't take my last peppie pattie!

Great pictures btw.

I just got back from there...took my friend for some birthday cupcakes! There was one peppermint left and I picked it up, along with a bunch of coconut, crave specialty and strawberry...I'll be bringing these ones to Max_Boost!

LOL

these cupcakes aren't that great...maybe i think so because i dont really like sweet stuff and what not im more of the person that makes food instead of like snacking foods for snacks...if that makes any sense

I heard Crave Cupcakes ( I think that is what it is called) were Good... haven't been there yet to try them out, anybody here been there?

Don't know many people who haven't, pretty damn good cupcakes. But after a few it's like eating more than one Krispy Kreme doughnut :barf: People buy them in bulk though so there's probably people out there that can just pound them down.

^ Agreed. I like Crave, but it depends on my mood--if I want to spend that much money for one single cupcake. The blue ones are good. http://www.cravecookies.com/main.html

Definitely worth a try.

Seeing as TC2002 posted a link to their official site, they'd probably have an address in there...

Crave is awesome, but finishing one cupcake makes me want to puke because it's so sweet. 1/2 a cupcake and i'm good to go.

$27.95 for a dozen cupcakes...

I didn't think they were any better than Betty Crocker which only costs $2.00 for two dozen cupcakes?

The Cake part of the cupcake is amazing, but they put WAY too much icing on, scrape a lil off and its a great cupcake

They are super good, but honestly cup cakes are cupcakes, the presentation is very nice and unique so I'd think of them more like gift (eg. cookies by george) than something you go and buy to eat. That and eating that crap makes you fat.

They are taste bombs.

Crave cupcakes are so sweet and delicious. The actual cake part is pretty generic its the icing that will hook you, so so damn sweet.

Very tasty stuff... but not really worth the price. If your around the area with your g/f and want to score brownie points, go get a couple. Other than that, don't waste your money.

I guess everyone has different taste...they were dry. Icing was to sweet, we gave the rest of our away when we placed an order. My kids agree.....mine are best....apparently I should sell them!

Crave is SOOO sweet, almost too much so for me and I like sweets! The pp was right though, it's all in the icing. Truthfully I find the buttercream bakery cupcakes to be much better and I think they have a lot mroe flavors of cupcakes as well (the rootbeer float is to die for!) I think they're also on 17th.

The coconut ones are the best
But yea I agree. I can only finish one. The mini ones are probably better to snack on..although I could probably only down a couple of those too ahah

Mmmmm I haven't had one of those in a while. But only have 1 or else you'll start to feel sick. The buttercream ones are pretty good too.

One of the girls at work brought in two dozen of the mini ones, I almost shit when I found out she paid like $35 for them! They where good (better than avg), but I would never buy them for that price!

I sampled some of Buttercream cupcakes at some show I went to at the Roundup last year and thought that they tasted pretty good so I recently decided to try a full size cupcake after looking up their location.

I love Crave cupcakes and was thinking that Buttercream would be similar but when I ordered 6 different flavoured cupcakes they didnt taste very good at all.
The cake part fell apart and the icing all tasted similar even though they were supposed to be different.

I also believe that the Crave icing is what makes the cupcake and its quite different from the Buttercream icing which tastes very strongly of eggs.

I'm drooling. I'm on a diet and I'm drooling. What time are they open until ? Should I reserve one?
