Don't buy an '05 sedan. If you need four doors wait until the '06 E90 is out. If you buy an '05 now your brand new car will be an old model in 8-10 months.
The alternative is to buy a used E46 so you don't take as much of a hit on depreciation.

E90 = (_|_) (shit they're no ass smiley) I hate to say it but the A4 is a much better looking car.

i concur with what pixxie said, buy a used 325xi, or if u dont mind the old body style, wait until the 06's are coming out to buy an 05 (they may lower the price to clear them out, and if at that point the o5's dont hav a low enough price, just buy an 06 model).

Clem I couldn't agree with you more. The E90 looks like crap.

I was just suggesting that if he needs a 4 door, don't buy an brand new car.

Cloud, would you be interested in a coupe? I'm selling mine - PM sent.

The current e46 AWD system is an old one where the torque split between the front and rear is locked at 35/65 (not 100% sure of the numbers).

It is likely that the e90 xi version should get X-drive which is a new system that allows for torque shifting to where it is needed.

There should be more info for you on www.e46fanatics.com

There are going to be a lot of good deals to be had in a few months.

The new 2006 A4 should be out in June/July timeframe and thus they will be clearing out the 2005. I doubt that you will be able to get a e90 325Xi before the end of the year as I am sure that the new 330i, then 325i will be the first cars to ship. They won't be out until September.

Personally, I would look at a 330i rather than the 325xi. Get a good set of winter tires and rim and enjoy the extra power.

I would NEVER buy a car that's the first year of its generation like the '06 E90. As others have said, get a used E46 or wait until MY '07 if you want a new E90.
