Hey folks,

My uncle is selling his 1989 Honda Accord SEI 4 Dr w/ auto transmission.

Apparently, this is the most limited of all that generation Accord, with alloy wheels and grey leather interior. Exterior colour is black/charcoal.

The car is loaded with all options including power mirrors, steering and windows, as well as air con and a power sunroof.

The vehicle has 268,000KM on it, and overall condition is good, with the typical minimal Honda rust on the exterior. The car is in High River, so I have no pictures at present. Will be in Calgary by the weekend.

Perfect as a first or second car.

Asking $2200
PM or email me at [email protected] for more info.
Cheers
Asif

I would be very interested in seeing some pictures of the car. Unfortunately I will be unable to make time to see it this weekend.

To answer all your questions....

My uncle has owned the vehicle from new, and it comes with a full service history. Since the car has been "give" to me, I guess I'm the second owner, but I haven't registered it yet.

The wife is reluctant to have another car on our street, so it will be in the Autotrader for $2995 this week.

The timing belt, to his knowledge hasn't been done yet. Generally, its in pretty good shape, and it doesn't smoke or burn oil. The car will be supplied with a safety as well.

While the price is open to a little negotiation, I've had 8 emails, so with hope the car shouldn't last. The only other SEI I could find in the entire country is going for $4000. That said, I'm not open to any lowball offers. $100 this way or that way won't be a deal breaker.

Also, I confess, the car is actually black/charcoal, and not gold as I first thought. He also has an 88 LX (Gold) which isn't for sale yet!

Interior, as posted above is still grey leather.

All PMs replied to.

Cheers
Asif

Bump!

Safety came back good. All the car really needs is a new headlight switch, and a driver side window motor.

All reciepts/invoices since 1992 available; totalling $14,900 in maintenance/parts and repairs since that time. This thing was treated like royalty!

So that means it hasn't been changed in 268 000 km. Shit, whoever buys this better change it, Honda recommends you change it every 100 000 km, Don't want that shit snapping on you.

you seem to be coming up with new information every time someone points something out... maybe you should figure out the real details before posting this...

Once you get the real info sorted out shoot me a PM and I might still be interested.

Its kinda challenging to obtain all the information from someone who a) speaks little English, and b) isn't really interested in the vehicle anymore.

In any event Hashman, I agree, the details of the vehicle were fairly scant, and now that I've been through the file myself, have a better idea of the history of the vehicle.

I'll fire you off a PM, with a copy of this reply. :)
