They're awesome, eh!? You're using them w/ which lens?

D'z Nutz

I'm using the 50mm f/1.8 MkII. I also have the 70-200 f/4L with a diopter coming in (hopefully) next week :D

Ekliptix

wtf is a diopler? I found the tubes do very little on the 70-200 F4.
I want a 1.4x TC and some studio lighting bad.

Diopter = close up lens/filter. Pretty much a magnifying glass that goes in front of your lens for macro shots. Canon's got the 250D and 500D's while Nikon's got the 3T, 4T, 5T, and 6T. Doesn't matter which brand you use, cause they're just filters. (The Nikon's are cheaper.)

That Tom Hick's guy on the Fred Miranda forums does some pretty sweet macro work with diopters:

D'z Nuts- great frozen action! Haha how thrilled were the parents to see a grown guy taking pictures of little boys running around? LOL

Pics look a little dark, I'd try opening up your apperture a little bit if you can next time or cranking the ISO a little faster :) They look awesome though!

Hahaha! They didn't seem to mind! A few of them thought I was with the school paper or something! Actually, the lady in the sunglasses in the third pic, I think she might be the assistant coach or something. She's asked me to come back to more of the practises and some of the games. Since the field is about a 10 minute walk from my house, I'll probably be popping in whenever I have time and the weather's nice.

Actually, most of these were taken at wide open, so my only option next is to up the ISO (most of these were at 400). I was a little worried there'd be a lot of noise at 400, but surprisingly there was very little. That and the fact they were taken close to sunset. In the upcoming weeks and months when the sun doesn't set as early, I'm sure it'll work out better.

Thanks for the comments guys! Practises are 6:00-7:30 Monday and Wednesday in the NE if anyone wants to join me ;)

Thanks for the comments guys! The bee was kinda tough to get. Not so much because it was moving around, but because I was trying to avoid getting stung by the other one buzzing around! Hahaha!

Pretty good job on the bee, SportTwin! Not bad on the ant either! I've been trying to get some myself, but they just move too damn fast! I totally hear you on the warm weather thing. Here's some "downtown wildlife" I recently took. Nothing special, but they were fun to try for anyways.
