Is Huffy a good BMX bike company?
And is this (http://www.thesportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1754948&cp=713103.788549.1764616&filter=yes&fCat=1764616&fpricesort=priceAscending&parentPage=family) Huffy a good one?
mediocre these days -- I wouldn't ride street with that thing. $400 will get you a half decent BMX.
What do you want it for -- street? DJ'ing? racing?

Street mostly. Right now Ive got only $100, maybe $150. Remember I'm talking in USD though, so that probably a little bit more in Canadian currency.
What about this (http://www.thesportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1441280&cp=713103.788549.1764616&filter=yes&fCat=1764616&fpricesort=priceAscending&parentPage=family) bike? I dont see any pegs in the pic, but It looks like you can attach them to it if you buy them seperatly, am I right?

no no no no! :banghead:
sorry, i've been a bike mechanic for 3 years.
for cheap bikes, try to find a Haro if you can. Hoffman's not too bad either, but their park bikes weight a ton. nice tubing though.
you'll regret not getting 3 piece cranks when you bought the bike, aftermarket's more expensive.
Norco's line of BMX's are actually pretty nice and reasonably cheap too.

Which haro would you guys recommend? Whats the price? I was looking at their site (harobikes.com), and I dont see any prices. I will probably sound really stupid for asking this, but what are three piece cranks? I searched, but the only good site I found was this site (bmxbasics.org), and in one of the columns, it says this:
There seems to be an unwritten rule in BMX that three-piece cranks are necessary. It's not so. A good one-piece crank set, matched up to a strong powerdisc and smooth bearing assembly, is all you need. If you have an "entry-level" BMX bike and are looking for something to spend money on, there are much better things, which we'll get to in a little while. One-piece crank users should be careful to check their cranks weekly for damage or bending. It's not hard to bend a one-piece crank and fail to notice it---don't make that mistake.

I have a specialized 415 like new I might sell ya? Unless someone here puts it down and talks you out of it.
It's a decent bmx though ready for street or vert, in your price range. Origionally it was $469.

I actually happen to like building things for myself, and I was wondering if there are any good sites that tell you about all the parts that you need for a good BMX, explains what they all are and how they work, and tells you how to put them together.
Does anyone know of any site like that?

Ok, change of plans.
I dont have time to wait for $300-$400 before buying a good bike.
Whats the best BMX bike I can buy for $150 USD??
