No, I'm just using it as an incentive to buy the camera.

hey i might be interested.

I want/need a good camera to take nice photos obviously. but I need it to take pics at my wedding in july. would this suffice? i am assuming its not a digital SLR, how big of a difference does that make? (i am a bit of a noob, but I do want at least 6MP)

Yes, this is a D-SLR... and it is a 6.3MP sensor...

You're going to take pictures at your own wedding? Ummm, you might want to stay next to your bride and hire someone to take pictures for you.

I have the same camera and paid $1500 for it new a year and a half ago. absolutely no regrets- its a wicked camera. its sucks that it is so much cheaper now but thats life. get it- and that 50mm f1.8 is a great little lens. excellent for portraits.

Yes it is a Digital SLR.
I reeeeeally don't believe using a fancy camera is going to get you decent results. You have to practice a lot with it. I would personally want to risk the chance of ending up with terrible wedding pictures by believing a camera will do it all.

If you're just going to be a guest who's snapping pics you should not have too much trouble.

Here's some pics.

Can I come and check out the camera? I will practice with it ALOT but my cousin who has a 35MM SLR camera and is somewhat skilled will be taking the photos. I want it for that but mainly I want a camera for a hobby to take nice pics as my current one sucks ass, doesnt even have optical zoom at all.

Can you pm me maybe I can meet up and check it out?
