Hrm, what would I have to worry about with selling my BC registered truck in alberta? I've never sold a vehicle before, any advice?

Oh, btw, top choices for my next vehicle are:
Inifinti G20
Volvo 850
Subaru Legacy

I just sold my Daytona, it was BC registered still. If you are in BC right now, go get an extra couple copies of the transfer papers. I had to tear apart my room and finally found an extra set of transfer papers in an old insurance envelope, otherwise, i'd be going to BC to get some.

What are transfer papers? Would a person who buys it need to go back to bc to get it inspected or something?

And I don't agree with the thing about lower mainland cars being better Almost all the KM on lower mainland cars are from city driving, which means lots of stopping and starting, which is much harder on a vehicle than highway. Whatever, my truck has actually only been in the lower mainland for 3 months of the 2 and 1/2 years I've owned it, LOL.

I've dropped the price of the ranger down to 11 grand with drop kit and 3 sets of rims and tires, let me know if you're interested.

Oh yah, 2 other cars I've been wondering about are the maxima and acura legend, anyone have links with info on those cars?

Oh wait a sec, there is no front plate on it. Is it BC registered right now? Or Alberta?

LOL, I put the front plate on my daytona so it wouldn't get towed when parked on the street

haha, nice.

So the truck is registered in BC, and you want to sell it in alberta. Just stop at any insurance place (edit* in BC) and ask for a set of transfer papers (or 2). When you find a buyer in alberta, complete the transfer papers, give him your ownership slip, and he goes to the registry in alberta with that stuff.

The vehicle has to be inspected in alberta to meet the AB safety requiremtents.

Don't they tax you when selling a used car in BC? When I bought my truck from my dad he tranferred ownership to me as a gift so we didn't have to pay a tax.

Yeah but that is PST. If you sell it in AB i dont think there is any tax charged because they dont have a provincial tax.
