Anyone know of a scam that sounds like this? I emailed someone about a car they had for sale, and here's the reply I got:

hi.i sell my car because i just moved in London,UK and
i must buy in here a vehicle with the steering wheel
on the right and for the moment i am broke because
we(me & my wife) just moved in here and we really need
to sell it and fast.Anyway the vehicle is in USA at
home in our garage. We don't have anyone there that
could help us to sell it or show it to the possible
buyers because we just moved in that city from New
York and now we moved in UK.I assure you that our
vehicle is in excellent condition as stated and we
have a clear title too. We are serious sellers looking
for a serious buyer for our vehicle.I want to make a
face-to-face transaction because i think this is the
safest way for both of us.Only me and my wife can come
back in US to meet you to show you the car and finish
the deal. For that we need a deposit(10%of the car
price). The deposit is refundable if when we will meet
and you will test drive the car and inspect it you
don't like it or our vehicle has any mechanical
problems. After we will receive the deposit we will
come immediatly and meet you(we can come in
weekend). You can do whatever you consider necessary
before buy it.we just want you to be sure that you are
buying an excellent condition car as stated.i can
provide you more pictures if you want to look twice
because is not easy for us to come and meet you for
nothing.we will spend lot of money and we will take
some days off to meet you and hope you are serious
too.if you have more questions please don't hesitate
to write us an e-mail.Please reply only if you agree
our conditions.Belive us that is hard to fiind a
serious buyer and that's why we are asking for a
deposit.Looking forward doing bussiness with you.

i would stay away from that..no matter how tempting it may be youll prolly end up loosing your deposit and will never get to see that car or the people who are supposedly selling it

They are broke, yet they agree to refund the deposit if you don't like their car?

Who is taking care of their house while they are away?

Sounds like a scam, if not a scam too much trouble anyways. Regardless, stay away.

This sounds like the car version of the ever popular Nigerian scam.

They are broke yet they would be willing to purchase round trip airline tickets to the US for a "potential" buyer...right.

Just for kicks...what kind of car are they selling? and what price?

That reply reeks of typical Nigerian grammar...which is a dead giveaway of:

A. Nigerian scammer
b. Fool that has terrible Nigerish grammar, so you shouldn't buy from him for that reason alone.

LOL
Yeah I'd stay away from that. If they can't even construct a sentence in english that should be an indication these fools want to fuck you over.

not a good sign.
