How do you do a burnout?

I really don't know if this goes here but I was wondering how you would do a burnout?? What are the steps......:dunno:

if its an auto, put it into neutral, revv the piss out of it, and throw it into reverse, then into drive, and if you still have a trannny left, you will have sucessfully completed a burnout

OK, first you dump gasoline all over your car, put some gas in a wine bottle, and stuff a rag in the neck. Then stand well away from the car, light the rag, and hurl the flaming bottle into your car. Well, 2fast4you, since no one has answered your question.

1. Locate a nice area for your burnout.
2. Stop your vehicle.
3. Depress clutch with left foot. Put your car into 1st gear.
4. Using right foot, depress throttle and hold at 5000rpm.
5. Quickly release clutch and transfer left foot to brake.
6. Hold brake with left foot, throttle with right.
7. Control burnout by using more or less throttle.
8. Slowly release brake with left foot after you're happy.
9. Lay some pads as you complete your burnout.

The above instructions are for a manual transmission. RWD.

*IF* you happen to have a *FWD* then don't bother doing a burnout. JUST BECAUSE!

Because burnouts with FWD look like grandma had a heart attack and is slumped on the pedals.

Seriously, if you can't pull off a tire squealin, donut spinnin', donut droppin' (for the cops) absolutely kick-ass burnout than it's just not worth the wasted rubber.
