Day1 :: Thursday March 24
Drove to seattle, went through the mountains .. found Canada's probably only west side toll road exempt ferries .. $10 dollars yikes.. whipped down about 170km (105mph) chasin a GTI who had more balls than me to take those curves .. meh.
Got to Seattle and found my hostel after going through customs .. beer was 1 dollar each in a 24 case, like $25 no gst no deposite .. hurray for Canadian beer!
In seattle found my hostel, checked in .. the place seemed pretty shady, guys all telling me to keep NOTHING visible in your car because things always get broken into dont walk down such and such an alley (which was right outside the doors of the hosteL) .. I'm in my car checking in and chatting with Hien sayin what a sketchy place this is all paranoid of my car and 2 black guys walk up .. stop .. 2 steps back and stay there, one gives me kinda a corner look .. im like great, they know i got laptop, heres a car gonna be parked prolly all night.. fabulous .. im ready to leave seattle and call it ghetto town even though I had paid my hostel ... well, the guys stayed around smoking a joint and turns out they were cool, I chatted w/ them about seattle vs canada, asked their suggestion on clubs for a white boy from up north and then I checked the night life .. lots of homeless people, crackers and people heatin up spoons everywhere downtown seattle .. double decker highways (something ive never seen) and the harbor. clubs were the same .. I wake up early the next day with an uneventful night and hit the higway.
Oh yes, doris was inflated in the front seat most the day including crossing customs but i packed her later to not draw attention to the car while it was parked.

Day 2 :: Friday Mar 25
I was thinking I'd be able to make Klamath hostel in so cali ..I didnt, the coast line was amazing, I stopped everywhere to take pictures. washington is ugly and boring, even the ocean wasn't exciting .. but it was the ocean!! HURRAY! I drove straight on this one road to see if i could see the ocean i drove up this little bit of a sand hill and wham .. there was the great pacific in all her glory .. I had a moment took pics of my car at the beach .. awesome .. I'm on the west coast.

I missed the Sea Lion caves earlier in the day which I really wanted to see so I camped north of Coos bay to make the trip back up the coast and then backtrack .. I saw the sea lion caves, it was cool but not 8 dollars worth .. I found out later down the bay was FREE places to see them up close.
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid163/pcc92457c666fe65945bdcb9e966b1789/f48f9e11.jpg
I made it to coos bay and partied there the night, talked with these guys who were pretty young outside of Wendys where i had my dinner .. apparantly the "best restaurant" in the area for seafood didnt want to serve me in a timely fashion in the pub ... waitress never came near so i just left. Wendys it was .. I find out that at any gas station in seattle downtown theres import meets pretty much, thats too bad I found about it so late. Blah blah blah about imports, some guy there has a boosted h22 4gen that blew a big block built camaro off the line .. everybody was shocked and im like yea theres a couple those in my city .. fast cars once they grip .. went to a bar, didnt find any axion but got an exposure to the nightlife in Coos bay ... its a bit of a grungy town but had an all right dance club .. for a friday night.

Day 3:: Saturday.
Sea lion caves. meh .. Though it rained all day and packing my tent sucked I still saw some more amazing shoreline ..
I didnt really have a destination, Just klamath where I thought i'd check the hostel the night before .. I couldnt find the hostel so found an RV campground south of Crescent City by klamath. This is just through the redwood forest on highway 101, huge trees.. holy crap.. and hella fun to drive through, even late at night..

I partied in Crescent City that night, met some people and was out til the bars closed .. danced it up. People wished Doris and I the best for the trip. Just when I thought I was going to sleep at 2:30 -3am 2 girls I met from the first bar I went to showed up at my campsite .. one was quite cute but unfortunately and ironically married. Obviously I was shocked that I had been stalked but it turned out ok.
They took me back to crescent city and showed me the town, I hopped fence at som ewildilfe sanctuary where they nurse injured sea lions and such . I pet a seal . .woo! Saw sea lions up close, did a night time tour of crescent city, hopped on a fishing boat and saw some crab traps. There was some place I was told I needed to see paul bunyon and his big ox's big blue balls .. low and behold I got a picture of myself (the girls too) holding bunyuns blue ox's big blue balls.

After that was g'nites.
Day 4 :: I made it to San Fran. The coast line gets better the further south you go and keeps getting better. The highway 101 is the way to go. I got turned off of highway #1 somehow after I drove through the chandalier tree.

I ended up in Anderson Valley, even ppl in san fran didnt know where it was .. it was the best wrong turn I ever made. Unfortunately I didnt get near enough pictures to show how magnificent the landscape was through here. Everything is so green and lush, vineyards, orchads and rolling hills between mountains. wow.
