Gigantic party at the University to celebrate the last day of classes.

Basically a great excuse for people to get smashed, and girls to wear very little.

Yep, busy setting up the autocross again........a slightly changed course and a number of improvements on the way. Course should be a little bit more flowing and slightly longer than last year.....but essentially similar.

Let's hope for good weather.

I've seen lots of muscle cars run open header / open dp so I don't think you would have a problem.

I'm definitely going to go...

Going to take the SRT-4 out and do the Autocross and a few runs down the drag strip.

Not sure what this car will run down the 1/4 mile. Maybe mid 14's or low 15's? I dunno...so I definitely want to find out. Which means at the very least I gotta do 2 passes.

But mostly I'm going to Autocross.

I guess you better go get some nitrous then. My first run was a 15.0. But I did squeak out a 14.9. The car is bone stock and frankly, I've never ever attempted to launch the car until tonight. So, well, I could see running 14.7 in stock format in Calgary (or a couple tenths quicker). It was pretty cold too, so lot of wheel slip prevented good 60 foot times. Think I managed a 2.394 or something, which I guess isn't too bad really.

The "other" SRT-4's that were there tonight (silver w/tint and blue) were both modified 2004 models. They both had upgraded chips to get more boost. I think the blue one has some other stuff done as well, but I didn't get the full list. I think he ran 14.2 or 14.3 and it was his SRT-4 that beat the STI. LOL. That's funny.

I spent a little time on the Autocross (most of my time actually). For all the nay-sayers, the SRT-4 was the fastest on the Autocross for the night.

:poosie:

So, it not only is fast out of the box, but it handles too. I was quite impressed with the stopping power. Haven't really ever driven my SRT-4 hard yet, so this was a good opportunity to learn more about how the car handles when you're beating the shit out of it.

Sweet.

That semi was running faster than some of the civics out there were  Props to him for getting out there!

I think most of the imports had owners that were at the BSD bash and a good number of the cars were domestics. The rsx club was out in full force though, which is nice to see!

Hopefully next week will be a tiny bit warmer, but it was nice to have a secret street actually start the week it's supposed to! The last three years have had rain or snow for a week or two (or three) in a row!

I had two runs in the 62's. I can go faster. (Always making mistakes on each run - to some degree - you know what I mean! The VW's were fast. Not sure if they had any "mods" except I know for certain the one VW had racing rubber on!! (So, a slight advantage.) It was a good time had by all for sure!

although the elevation difference is there...it has more to do with the condition of Bud Park, it is better maintained, and the prep work they do to it is far better.
