WTT: anyone have a dead motherboard?

If anyone in the NE of the city has a motherboard that's not too old and would give it away, that would be awesome. I need a few capacitors etc from one.

Maybe some of you have one that you wrecked slipping with a screwdriver or something like that?

I have a cheapie ps2 keyboard I'd trade for a dead amd board.

Just a question, why not obtain capacitors from an electronics supply store instead of desoldering them from an old motherboard when they may be damaged etc....

I will probably get some new ones. Not anything available locally that's the right voltage etc.

Some caps on some mobo's are pretty good though, and I wouldn't have a problem using them as long as they test out ok.
