Why the heck are the gas prices down east cheaper or the same as Calgary gas prices. Shouldn't it be cheaper in the place that it comes from?

6.5$/L is huge when you consider that it has to be transported through the pipelines across Canada...

anyone else find it horribly sad that we're all excited to see mid to high 70s when just a couple years ago prices were in the 50s :cry:

we pull the oil out of the ground... we dont refine it here... most gets sent to the states

I think the provincial gov't there lowered their gasoline tax as a political move for re-election.

Supply and demand, there are more refineries in the East than here.
