Citation help

I'm writing a paper and I need to quote a friend of mine who is an expert in Information Securities but his information is in MSN messenger.. is there a proper way to cite his information onto my paper? Or should I just print the whole chat log out and use it as an appendix?

If i'm not wrong, i believe you cite your conversation through msn as a personal communication. You don't have to print it off because the teacher has no idea what you talked about and has no way of accessing the conversation...the conversation was between you and a friend, you did not get it out of a book or printed/published document.

Someone please tell me if i'm wrong.....

You should cite the conversation as a personal interview. I did that for a report a little while ago. If you need help with that PM me and I'll dig up that report for you.
