Toyota Jetta/VW Corolla?

found this on another forum... I've always said they look similar, but these pics were perfect...

I honestly thought the VW in the second pic was a Corolla with altezza lights...

thoughts, comments??

That resemblance is uncanny. I never noticed it before, but then again I haven't seen the new Jettas either. I wouldn't buy one now! :)

the accent looks more like the corolla than the jetta does....but still the jetta and corolla look damn close.

yeah the look very close, expically the lights on the back and the front. the newer jetta doesnt look nothign like a jetta. maybe it was just a coincidence that for 2005 VW made the new jetta look very close to the corrolla.
