I tried searching but didnt find anything usefull. I need to ship an engine to BC, how would I go about doing this? Its a full engine with transmission (4 cyl prob 400-500 lbs?).

look up via rail or you might have to ship in on and pallat with shrink wrap all larger trucking companies do that

You will need a pallet and a trucking company to take it for you.
Need a pallet? PM me.

Yep, pallet's are the way to go, since forklifts are used to lift the goods. Make sure it's a good pallet, you don't want it to break while being lifted and drop the engine! I would use strong plastic/metal tie-down straps to hold it to the pallet, then use industrial shrink-wrap to protect it from the elements.
