Okay, the time has come to replace the turbo. I know Autodream has T25s for sale. These are direct replacements, yes?

What other options are available to me? I have been hearing that a T28 off an S14 SR20DET is a direct bolt on as well, but no one has been able to actually verify this for me.

Can anyone give me a definite answer? What options do I have for T25, T28, T3 etc.

Whats a direct bolt in, and what is going to require some work?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ask on n-e-c-c.com/forum, there are a few members there who can tell you precisely.

T25,T28 Are bolt on, any others require different manifolds.

Check with n-e-c-c or nicoclub.com (ca forum) to see which turbos may need to be clocked.

You may also need to upgrade components of your fuel system when increasing boost.

Ask and you will receive your options.

1. CA18DET T25 100% bolt on no modification required.

2. S13 SR20DET T25. Bolts on to manifold but will most likely require the complete assembly or possibly making custom coolant and oil lines for the turbo unless you want to bend your CA18 lines to fit. Braided Steel works well for. -4 an for oil and -6 for coolat work well.

3. S14 SR20DET T28. bolts on to manifold, will need custom lines for coolant and oil as the housing is larger than the T25. bending the lines in this case is not reccomended. Will need to either buy a Greddy turbo outlet or take a dremel to allow the turbine studs to match up. will needed upgraded injectors/mafs/ecu tune in order to run higher boost without blowing engine.

4. S15 SR20DET T28. Same as above but you cannot use the greddy outlet unless you want to cut the divider off the since this turbo comes with a divider. will need upgraded injectors/mafs/ecu tune in order to run higher boost without blowing engine.

5. Pulsar SR20DET T28. Will make the most power of the bunch. Requires new coolant and oil l ines and some custom piping work.

6. Other options, if you want big power while keeping stock manifold.

HKS GT2541
HKS GT2835
HKS GTRS
GT2871

Those turbos all require modification to the hotpipe, custom lines, and everything else.

So in short if you want simple get the CA18 or SR20 T25. If you want a little more power get a T28 and if you want some extreme power get one of the turbos listed there.

Autodream is okay but you might pay through the nose. you can find sr20det turbo assemblies on ebay for around $100 complete and in good shape.

I have the 5th option a SR20DET from a Pulsar T28. And yes Im working on the pipes for Oil and Coolant also finding a position that will make it fit well.
What I dont know is if I should make some reprogramming in my ECU. Im placing a SAFC II its that enough?...
Thanks and sorry for my english, its my second language.

hey, when installing a t28 on to a ca18 make sure you upgrade your fuel pump. i made this mistake by not doing this and i ran my car lean and fried everything. don't worry about reprograming your ecu, the s-afc should be fine. with the upgrade to a 255lph pump, dsm 450cc injectors, and a z32 maf with the s-afc you should be on safe grounds.

i highly doubt he needs the 255 pump for 450cc injectors as i run a 190 with 720 cc injectors and 22 psi on my eclipse.

thats just a basic set up that people run for the t28, plus if he wants to upgrade later on again he already has it taken care of
