Just wondering if any of you know of any good transmission shops to get a rebuilt transmission from?

Going to be converting to 5spd, and I'd rather do this then get one from a wrecker...

I keep seeing comercials for quality transmission, and just read up on their website, they sound like they do a pretty good job, anyone delt with them?

I doubt they'll have stock of transmisions. You'll likely have to get one from a wrecker then bring it in to them to get rebuilt. As far as what shop to use, I can't help you out there. One of the mechanics I use raves about Mr. Transmision by Chinook, but I've never dealt with them personally.

well apparently this place stocks quite a few... havent had time during the day lately to call and find out about my car, but yeah.

^^ thats my other option too, is getting one from the wrecker, but ive never had any experience with any transmission shops

the 85-87 prelude 5speed tranny would fit your car... on my 89 accord a few years ago my tranny blew so i swapped a 87 prelude tranny from the junkers.... theres still a few old ludes there if u need a tranny

^^ Ya, but the lude tranny has different gearing, and I would rather have the accord gearing... its a possibility though
