Visions or Soundsaround carries both of those brands, Soundsaround carries the Pioneer Premier stuff too...

They both make good decks... The pioneer's look way nicer imo.

If it had to be one of those two for subs, i'd go alpine, though for subs I would not by either one of those.

PM me if you want, I can hook you up with a deal at either one of those places, just tell me where you'd rather go.

Alpine makes great decks... I prefer them over Pioneer. Alpine has so many different decks, its really something you have to check out for yourself.. I like the CDA-9835 (at least I think that's the one, anyway).
But Alpine's latest run of subs has had some huuuge problems, and the Pioneer Premier sub I demoed kicked ass. only $260, and its actually a real 1,000 watts RMS (that is a lot of power FYI :D), not over-rated in the slighteset. Spend the extra cash to get Premier subs if you go Pioneer.

i have had 2 alpines, great quality.
i would consider them the nicer looking of the two.

I had an alpine in my car, switched over to pioneer. Both of them were high end decks, and both of them performed about the same. They are both top of the line

and where would i get the premier editions? i was looking for pioneer premier decks the other day.. but the guys like "sorry dont have any.. plus the only difference is the color".... is that true?

looks like alpine might win this time...

how are the CDA-9851-9855 s?

I love the 9855.. awesome deck. looks good, sounds great.
Pioneer Premier stuff can be had at Soundsaround.
JL Audio stuff, too.

Pioneer Premier stuff is not just the color. Whoever said that is a fucking retard.

The premier line stereos are higher end, better built, come with more features, and a longer warranty.

By the way, i'm using the Pioneer deh-P80 right now. I was using an Alpine CDA 7995. Both are highly recommended.

I've had both and they are very good. I prefer Apline especially in the long term. Pineer decks have more issues with button wearing out and/or sticking when they get old.

Alpine has kind of a weird look to them in recent years, unless your getting a higher end model, but i still think they are slightly better built.

my dad has a alpine tape deck in his truck from 95 and still works perfect except the buttons paint wore out. their decks have to be consider one of the best. yeah their subs suck, and require tons of power

2 of my friends who had the Pioneer DEH-P9600MP had there motors die on them (the front face wouldnt move).

I prefer Alpine, but thats because I own an Alpine deck.

ive had one high end alpine deck, but it just didnt do the trick for me. It was a good deck but nothing special, the pioneer's look much better IMO. Right now im using a Premier DEH-P960MP(Pioneer's top of the line), its an awesome deck.. i might be thinking about selling it because i want to return everything to stock.

I too have had both high end Alpine and Pioneer premier and the Alpine i had nothing but problems with. Right now i'm looking at getting another premier the DEHP-860MP. As for dealers CAR Salon also does the premier modles now.

hmm it was at the Crowfoot one last I checked
there is probably some minor differences... I know the 9855 has a high color screen with a waft of different options as far as the display goes, but otherwise they are probably functionally nearly the same.

alpine for subs amp speakers u cant fukk witta pioneer deck though my alpine which was twice as much money as my older pioneer sucks ass for sound quality and its way harder to use its still a good deck but pioneers have better sound imo its still just an opinion and in the end u should choose what u like not what everyones telling u to get

i have had both head units.
i found my pioneer made for better sound quality, but my alpine looked better and had more options.
subs i would go pioneer if i had to choose between only alpine and pioneer.

i've had my Premier DEH-P720 deck for years now, and it's been a great deck. i would definitely recommend anything by pioneer, and especially the premier lineup.
