gsx-r chews me up

anybody else been embarassed by one of these?? today on memorial drive i was in my civic playing with the guy and revving my engine, doing 5000 rpm constant (redline is 7250 so i was just acting like a dick) and when i tried to take off, he was doing the same speed, then suddenly, he just HAULS ASS and takes off,:eek: i was sad:cry:

are you guys as afraid of bikes as i am??

yep those gsxr's are nuts, on my old CBR600 i raced a 750 and i just got SMOKED well i raced to about 200 and the gsxr was way off in the distance so i just quit and turned off the road

i was out yesterday on crowchild stopped at a red light. a MX6 mystere pulls up beside me and revved. i sort of chuckled in my helmet :tongue:

so the light turns green, and i just take off normally. the driver looks like hes giving it for all hes worth. so i stay in first while he shifts to second, then third, then i went WOT :burnout:

was fun but its never even close.

only car that gave me a run was a porsche 911 turbo from a roll-on at 120kph.

No, you only have 250. You need the sway bars and the obligatory masive stereo. Then you'll have 400.

Oh, that's your problem! You see, the neon underdash lights are drawing power away from your ignition system. What you need to do is put in a big stereo. That way, the capacitors in the stereo system and the feedback from the speakers will help you get that electricity back to your ignition. 400hp should be no problem at all! ;) :D

Well i read a few posts not all but i thought i would add this in... i have raced a bike (not sure what modle or what it was) in my old mans 2002 Trans Am... it dynoed at 400rwhp and some where around 400LBS of torque... and i got a new ass hole riped in me when we raced, i mean i kept up some what off the line (like a few car lengths type thing) but in the end there was no question i lost ahah. so i dont think any honda civic is going to keep up to a bike when i can start off in 2nd gear in the Trans Am and beet a honda civic by many car lengths and never get any higher the 3rd gear.

Sorry, but if there's a car that can go 0-60 in 2.2 seconds, then it's SERIOUSLY modded.

And seriously expensive. You MIGHT have a chance on a bullshit, staged race (like roll ons from a certain speed) but most bikes will still own most race cars.

A STOCK $6000 bike will walk on 50K modded to hell Supras etc.

I beat him :dunno: Needless to say he was a little supprised. There would have been witnesses but nobody could keep up haha

I also raced a 600RR from a 2nd gear roll and stayed right beside him till the top of 3rd. I think he was in shock that a car was staying right beside him. I am sorry dude but that bike looked more like it was on a casual cruise...NOT racing. You can tell he isnt racing by the way he passes the regular cars on the right lane. When you open up a bike...you dont "cruise" by passenger cars...you FLY by them like they are standing still...and at high speed....he would have pulled on that celica as if it was standing still.

I dont doubt that celica is fast...but to keep up with a newer GSXR750 at high speed, well you need a highway monster....aka 750whp supra.

Guys in the celica sound like retards thinking they just beat a bike... :D

You do realize that a stock newer GSXR750 can hit 10's in the 1/4mile right with a crazy MPH. For that celica to "pull" that far from it...it would have to be running 11's ATLEAST to account for a shitty rider on that bike. Last time I checked a Turbo'd celica putting down 275whp (and I assume that generously) isnt even in the 12's...l

I know you really dont need 750whp, just shooting of an example so people who dont have bikes/or know what they are capable of understand....I would have to say over 500hp though easily...


P.S. and if that guy on that 750 was really giving it all...that fellow needs to take some riding lessons, or trade the bike in for a scooter.

Off the start I'd assume just slightly over legal limit... When it flashes the speedo, it's only around 220-230.. nothing amazing..

Thats another thing people have to remember, not everyone on a bike is a racer, as in a lot of the guys who have these bikes are just in it for the look and going 200+ scares them... So 220-230 isn't beating the bike, probably just the rider...

I too have lost dear friends to motorcycles being hit by cagers but I don't bash all cagers!!!! I doubt your family died from doing a wheelie, unless it was in traffic and died as a result of something else.

Wheelies don't kill, it's what you hit when you crash without gear that kills.

I hit a car on my bike doing 80km/hr, I'm the one that is going to get the worse part of that deal. Hopefully I don't scratch one of your Type R stickers!

no offence, but if i'm going on deerfoot, and a bike (around 500 pounds) hits me doing double the speed that i am, its going to do more then scratch my car, more then likely i would spin out and hit a barrier etc.
