1986 VW Jetta GLI for Auction
Selling for $99 (Canadian) or above
CAR IN CALGARY

Instead of parting it out, I am selling the whole vehicle for $99 or above. The person offering the highest price gets contacted. Auction end date is April 20 (Wed) 10pm. Please email me your name, phone number and your auction price to [email protected]. Winner will get proper ownership document (signed registration). Details of the car are as follows:

• VIN# WVWGB0167GW778816
• Alberta registered car, active (not savaged or repaired) and is NOT a stolen car
• It is not drivable, has 285,000 km
• This is a complete vehicle (not a leftover car after parting)
• Key to the car is lost
• Engine and transmission are in unknown condition
• The car does NOT come with the rims and tires, hence towing is necessary. Please factor this cost in your bid. AMA charges $44 base charge (covering the first 40km) plus $1.75 per km extra for towing if you are a member.
• The seats are leather. Driver seat shows leather cracks and has one rip (about 3 inch long, see photo). The rest of the seats are in excellent condition.
• Body of the car has some area rust here and there, but does not have any major dent
• Speedo panel, leather steering wheel, and stereo will come with the car

Sorry, I don’t have enough technical knowledge on this car and cannot answer any question on whether parts from this car can fit your car. Please research on your own.

AMA covers the first 5 kilometers, good sir. After that I believe it's $1.75 per km. I also believe the initial tow/hookup is $44, if you've used all of your service calls. Not sure on non-member prices.

Beyond does not allow people to run auctions. If you want to sell something post a price that you are willing to sell it for.

Yes, it is a 5 speed.

Thanks for pointing out exact cost from AMA. My posting is revised accordingly.

The cost of towing is likely in tens of dollar range. It may be worthwhile for someone who is looking for parts from the car very inexpensively.

Sorry to be a dick, but don't say you corrected it when you didn't.

The initial tow covers the first FIVE - 5 - IIIII - V kilometers.
