FS: 96 Sunfire SE, parting out.

EDIT: Decided not to part out anymore, as I'd like the whole car gone from my garage.


I'm selling my 96 Sunfire SE due to the engine being partially seized and I decided to get a better ride, I'm open to offers for the whole car, but am also willing to part it out, the engine has under 190000km and I'm sure most of the engine is still in good shape, I believe the con rods are bent or it might just need new piston rings but I'm not bothering to fix it, the cars a 5speed and has basically new tires on the stock alloy rims.

Was advertising it for 700, but have lowered it to 600, but thats OBO still.

Ok so I'm afraid I'll be keeping the wheels, to change them over with the next car I'll be buying, but the rest of the car is good to go, the body is in pretty much good condition, the paint is bad though.

Also I have 2 Silvania Silverstars 9007, had about a years use on them, I'll sell for 25obo.

I also have a 2 year old Motomaster Eliminater Battery, it has around 860 cold cranking amps (dunno exactly, but it was the most powerful one I could get for the size), I'll let that go for 50obo, the cells seem to be good still, good fluid levels.

Also this car has brand new tires on the stock alloy rims, the tires are P205/70R15 I believe, all seasons, only got maybe a months worth of driving on them, the rims are in pretty good shape and are 5 bolt for anyone interested, I'm willing to seel them for about $400 OBO.

Rest of the car wouldn't take much money to fix I think, I didn't open the engine, but I think it will just be piston rings that are messed up, I'm willing to let the car go for about $750 OBO.

hey thanx alot for all of the info. If anything I would probably just replace the parts that need to be instaed of getting a whole new engine. I have 1g$ so i just need to know for sure if ill have enough money after to get that stuff installed and how much exactly it will cost. and btw do you have any pics of it? and what exactly happened, how did the engine seize? and overall is the rest of the engine ok? If you told me almost everything you know about this car that would be greatly appreciated. sorry about all the questions hahah , :zzz: anyway cya later

what color is the interior? If you are parting it I am interested in Misc. interior parts.

The interior is Granite (I think thats what its called), its in pretty good condition except the plastic panel around the door handle on the right hand door.

Also should add its a 5 speed, the body is in good condition apart from a small dent in the front left fender, and some surface rust on the hood.

Finally got pics, the car is in afew peices but its nothing major, the body looks bad, but its mainly the clearcoat, the body is fine, but the paint is just screwed, the only rust on the car is the surface rust on the hood.
